ABOUT THE SITE:  [Last site update – 14 March 2021

Our NEW site was built over 8 days from Friday 15 May 2020 to Saturday 23 May 2020. Total build time of the basic site was 40 hours.

There is PLENTY to see. We have 13 separate tabs containing over 52 pages of information – historical material, LOTS of photos, videos, publications from various magazines about our chief instructors, articles, teaching aids, reference material and much more.

More information will be progressively loaded as new material comes to hand. Take a look around and come back often to see MORE!

PRIME OBJECTIVE OF SOMA:

The prime objective of our martial arts association is to further the study and practice of martial arts without prejudice towards race, colour, gender, sexual preference, political or religious beliefs.

SOMA promotes cross training of styles and seeks to foster goodwill between all its members. SOMA is an incorporated, not for profit, body.

SOMA strives to be a benevolent society that supports martial arts practitioners of ALL styles. Proof of this can be seen throughout our website.

At SOMA, we believe that martial arts is for EVERYBODY!

Regarding Deano, Phillip said, “He is an honorary 2nd Dan because of his knowledge and his dedication over years of study and time with our White Tiger school.”

Martial arts builds strength, focus and determination. SOMA is proud to have Deano Coulson within its ranks. Deano is an inspiration to everybody. He proves that martial arts really is for EVERYBODY!

Martial arts is also especially good for children. Good instructors will instill discipline, manners, good behaviour, confidence and many other POSITIVE attributes into children’s psyches. We often hear about the poor behaviour of our youth but children who have undertaken to learn martial arts are among the very best behaved.
